The Megger VF6 EX voltage detector is designed to check the presence of an AC voltage without making direct contact with the electrical source.Ā It is extremely safe to in comparison to traditional detectors, as it does not require direct contact, eliminating the risk of an electric shock or related injury.Ā
The detector has both low voltage (12-1000V) and medium voltage (100-1000V) ranges. The VF6 EX has the added advantage of a bright white LED torch light for use when there is poor visibility.Ā
Ā The stick is EX rated for use on gas platforms and other petrochemical environments. It is suitable for identifying live conductors, finding a break in a conduct or verifying a blown fuse while in circuit and detecting AC voltage at socket outlets, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, cables and luminaires.Ā
